Pravin, as the charger gets auto cut off when it is 100% because every modern laptop has good enough battery controllers, which prevent battery from overcharging and that is why you see in Windows 10 something like "100%, NOT CHARGING" when you look at the battery information.
The laptop uses ac adaptor when plugged in. Not battery. If you take a look at the battery icon when plugged in, you would see it goes to 100, then gets discharged to some level and charging back again. So the simple answer is that laptop does not use power from battery when plugged in. Battery gets charged and discharged. Does this kill battery?
trickle chargers or low current chargers, in particular, tend to not cut off when the battery is at 100% charge and can degrade battery capacity over time. True, but laptops don't use trickle chargers. They use chargers that DO cut off at 100% charge.

Typically, when the power-brick is connected to a laptop, part of the electrical power is diverted to recharge the battery, while the rest of the electrical power goes to the motherboard. Disconnect the power-cord, and the computer automatically and instantly switches to take power from the battery.
